Edward A. Truax, age 56, passed away at his home on March 28, 2021. Edward was born on May 8, 1964, was the son of Dallas and Mary Ann (Zias) Truax, and grew up in Weirton, WV. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed singing country music, partying, fishing, and loved his family. Edward is survived by his sons Joshua and Timothy Truax; his daughters Heather Bailey, Taylor Truax, Courtney Truax, and Breanna Truax; and his grandchildren Yazmyne, Dustin, Austin, and a granddaughter on the way. He is also survived by his brothers Jeffrey, David, Richard, Kevin, and Daniel; and his sister Michele Yergin. A visitation in celebration of Edward’s life will be held on Thursday from 5:00-7:00PM at Murphy-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 501 Ridge Ave. McSherrystown PA 17344. Due to COVID-19 guidelines and in compliance with health and public safety directives, those attending the viewing will be required to wear masks and social distance. Attendance inside the funeral home will be limited to 35 people at a time. In lieu flowers, contributions in Edward’s memory can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
