New Iberia – A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Barbara Bourque Anson, 74, who passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021, in Lafayette. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Randy Dugas will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary, led by Deacon Durk Viator, will be prayed at 2:00 pm Tuesday. A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Anson was born on December 15, 1946 to the late Lennis “T-Coon” and Adelta “Bebe” Touchet Bourque, and worked as a child care provider, taking care of children for many years. She enjoyed playing on her computer, talking to her best friend Annette Stover, going to the casino, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors includ her daughter, Shannon L. Gonsoulin (Norbert) of New Iberia; granddaughter who was raised as her daughter, Barbara "Bobbie" Monteaux (Keith Blanchard) of New Iberia; brother, David "Bones" Bourque of Meaux; six grandchildren, Aaron Gonsoulin (Savannah Tassin), Adam Gonsoulin (Carrie Primeaux), Austin Gonsoulin, Malaya Guidry (Quinn), Marlie Doucet, and Noah Migues; ten great grandchildren, Damian Blanchard, Darian Monteaux, Da'Shaya Blanchard, Datavia Blanchard, Da'Nae Blanchard, Daveah Blanchard, Davian Blanchard, George"Rosebud" Gonsoulin, Henry Gonsoulin, and Vaida Guidry; son, Chance Migues of Lafayette; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Millie Johnson Bourque Sonnier; and special aunt, Taunt Mae-Mae Sanders. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Marie "Toni" Monteaux; son, Lonnie Doucet; brother, Robert Bourque; grandchild, Damian "T-Put" Bourque; niece, Heather Dugas; nephew, James "Monkey" Roland; husband, Robert "Bob" Anson; and sister-in-law, Mary Bourque. Pallbearers will be Aaron Gonsoulin, Adam Gonsoulin, Austin Gonsoulin, Damian Blanchard, Darian Blanchard, Chance Migues, Kevin Bourque, Evans Bourque, and Shawn Bourque.
