Leo F. Niklas

KANE Leo F. Niklas Jr., 57, of 158 Ohio Ave. James City, died Thursday (March 25) at UPMC-Hamot. He was born on July 2, 1963 in Kane the son of Leo Niklas Sr. and the late JoeAnn (McCauley) Niklas. On Sept. 2, 1989 in Kane he married Sue Hulings, who survives. Mr. Niklas had served in the U.S. Marines and the the Army National Guard. He was also employed as a welder at Kane Manufacturing. He was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church, the Kane V.F.W. and the Wilcox American Legion. In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by one daughter Lorynn (Ryan) Green of Lehighton, PA; two sons, Logan Niklas of Palmerton, PA and Zachary (Caitlyn) Niklas of Clarksville, TN; one grandson, Carter Green of Lehighton, one brother Robert Niklas of James City; four sisters, Barbara Palmer of Colorado, Patricia Sirochman of James City, Rebecca Niklas of Sharon, PA and Sandy (Keith) Newton of Ludlow, PA. He was preceded in death by his mother, one sister Brenda Suda and his infant sister JoeAnn Niklas. Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass or Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at St. Callistus Church at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. William O'Brien, pastor, as celebrant. Burial and Military Honors will follow at St. Callistus Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made the the Disabled American Veteran's 1000 Liberty Ave. Rm 1606 Pittsburgh, PA 15222. Online condolences may be made at www.cummingsfh.com
