Mrs. Marlene Rush Obituary

MARLENE "CANDY" (TRICE) RUSH was born in St. Louis, MO, August 31, 1955 to the union of Betty Jean (Love) and Marlin Trice (Deceased). Candy was the third born of ten sisters and one brother. Her sisters, Myi Trice and Denise Trice preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of University City High School and St. Louis Community College. After furthering her education, she pursued careers in health care and business administration.

Candy was united in Holy Matrimony to Jerry Rush in January of 1978.

On March 24, 2021 at 9:48 a.m., God called her home. Candy's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understand that the quality of her existence FAR EXCEEDED the quantity of time that she was with us.

Candy lived each day of her life to the fullest. No one was a stranger to her. She was selfless in her giving and helping of others, and well known for giving her last. Although Candy's heart was physically weak, it was huge and full of love.

Candy leaves to cherish her memories her loving mother, Betty Jean Duncan; two sons, Robert (Festus) Randall and Marc Alexander Rush; one granddaughter, Shanity Randall; a great-granddaughter, SarRayah Randall, age 8, and a great-a grandson, Davion Randall, age 4; seven sisters, Dianne (Steve) Hill, Gail Sherie Trice, Linda Ann (John) Clark, Sharon Renee Trice, Rita Yvette (Spencer) Reed, Donna Genise (Robert) Green, Stephanie Kaye Duncan, and one brother, Christopher Antonio Duncan. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends.
