Michelle Bernadette Hayes, 53 of Frederick, Colorado passed away too soon on March 19, 2021 in Burlington, Colorado. Michelle was born in Huntsville Alabama on June 3rd, 1967. Growing up with 2 brothers and 2 sisters in a military family, she spent her early years at Ft. Knox Army Base. The family later moved and ultimately settled in Aurora, Colorado when Michelle was 10. She attended Aurora Hills Middle school then Gateway High School before transferring to Englewood High School and graduating with the class of 1985. Growing up in Colorado, Michelle fell in love with the outdoors. Whether it was skiing, hiking, or in particular, camping with her family (where she would spend hours arrowhead hunting) at her beloved mountain land in Fremont County, outdoors was where she was happiest. Michelle had a beautiful heart and was full of life. Michelle was married in 1993 to Robert Pate. Together they raised their 3 beautiful children, Timothy Michael, Ryan Samuel, and Sara Elise. Michelle’s children were her life. In 2000 she stepped away from her position as senior admin to the CFO at IREA to be with them fulltime. Michelle became a grandma when her grandson Henry Michael Pate was born on March 26, 2020. Michelle loved being a grandma and was looking forward to meeting her new grandchild, due in October. Michelle was a beautiful, compassionate person who loved everyone she met. Her bubbly personality, infectious smile and sense of humor were just a few things that made Michelle so special. Michelle was proceeded in death by her parents, Albert and Susanna. She is survived by her children, Timothy (Michelle), Ryan, and Sara; her grandchild, Henry; her siblings, Leonard, Joseph, Patricia (Steve), Cindy (Red); her nieces and nephews, Mikala, Brandon, Jessica, Jorden and Chase. As well as, great nieces and nephews.
