<p>Gerald L. Clemens, 57, Fargo, ND, formerly of Jamestown, ND died Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo.<br><br>Gerald was born January 12, 1947 in Jamestown the son of Lloyd and Mollie (Walker) Clemens. He grew up in Jamestown and attended rural school in Lenton township and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1965. Gerald continued his education at Wahpeton State School of Science and after graduating in 1967 he enlisted in the Military Air Force in a security wing. He served five years in Japan and Vietnam and was medically discharged in 1972 due to a cancerous brain tumor. Gerald spent many years in VA Hospitals in Denver, Fargo, Minneapolis and Milwaukee and also lived at home for many years. His hobby was collecting musical tapes and videos.<br><br>He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of America and the Jamestown Eagles Club.<br><br>Gerald is survived by his father, Lloyd, Jamestown, three brothers, Alan Clemens of Anchorage, AK; Wayne (Wendy) Clemens, Glyndon, MN and Brian (Debra) Clemens, Jamestown and numerous nieces and nephews.<br><br>He was preceded in death by his mother and maternal and paternal grandparents.<br><br>Funeral Service: 10:00 AM, Monday, August 23, 2004 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Doug Opp officiating.<br><br>Visitation: 1:00 to 9:00 PM, Sunday, August 22, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Home.<br><br>Prayer Service: 7:00 pm, Sunday, August 22, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.<br><br>Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.</p><p> </p>
