M. Marlene Thompson, 85, of Hampstead, passed away on March 23, 2021. Born August 20, 1935 in Carroll Co., MD, she was the daughter of the late Montell and Marion (Henry) Miller. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert M. Thompson and the late Robert D. Stocksdale. She was a member of the Upperco Volunteer Fire Company and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 200. She loved doting on her grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time at her cabin in the mountains of West Virginia. Surviving are her son, Barry Stocksdale of Hampstead; daughter, Victoria Gill and her husband Colby of Union Bridge; grandchildren, Neal Stocksdale, Catherine Martin, Megan Lapp and Robert Gill; 3 great grand children; sisters, Betty Dougherty and Linda Hale; and brother William Miller. She was also survived by many other family and friends. A visitation will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021, 5 pm - 8 pm at Eline Funeral Home, Hampstead. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021, 11 am at the Eline Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Marshall officiating. Interment will be in New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester.
