<p>On March 20, 2021, Cecelia “Cece” R. Zunic (Bartosiewicz), 81, of Ellicott City, MD, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. </p><p><br></p><p>Cece was born to the late Regina and Edward Bartosiewicz on January 10, 1940 in Pittsburgh, PA. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of thirty-seven years, Joseph F. Zunic. Cece and Joe met, married, raised three children, enjoyed time with family, and developed many life-long friendships in Pittsburgh before relocating to Ellicott City, MD in 1986.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her three children, Joe (Stacey) Zunic of Pittsburgh, PA, Christine (Christopher) Tincher of Marriottsville, MD, and Beth Ann (Randy) Stout of Sykesville, MD, her six grandchildren, Michael (Katelyn), Joe, and Katie Tincher, LJ, Nelson, and Caroline Westwood, her four siblings, Frances (George) Saxon, Elizabeth (Terrance) Mahoney, Tina Bartosiewicz, and Edward Bartosiewicz, her sisters in-law Catherine (Edward) Churilla, Ann Marie (John) Yakich and Alice (Lawrence) Zunic along with many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>Cece was a living example of putting God first, others second, and herself last. She helped her mother run the family business instead of attending college, never missed one of her children’s school events, and was a good friend and neighbor to anyone who knew her. Cece served as the secretary for St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Ellicott City for twenty-nine years where she was also a steadfast member. After she retired, Cece volunteered both at St Paul’s and at Lighthouse Senior Living. </p><p><br></p><p>Cece was passionate about people. When she wasn’t hosting a large family dinner, helping a friend, or at church, she could be found working in her yard or sneaking treats to one of her seven “grand dogs”. She enjoyed family vacations in Hilton Head, special trips to Florida, and eating out with friends. Cece is loved by many and will be greatly missed by family and friends in both Pittsburgh and Ellicott City.</p><p><br></p><p>There will be visitation at Slack Funeral Home, P.A. in Ellicott City, MD from 1pm – 4pm and 6pm -8pm on Tuesday March 23, 2021 and a private mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul’s in Ellicott City on Wednesday March 24, 2021. Cece will be laid to rest in a private graveside ceremony on Friday March 26, 2021 St. Mary’s Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Cece’s name to the Newman Center at Towson University or St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church Building Fund in Ijamsville, MD.</p>

On March 20, 2021, Cecelia “Cece” R. Zunic (Bartosiewicz), 81, of Ellicott City, MD, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.


Cece was born to the late Regina and Edward Bartosiewicz on January 10, 1940 in Pittsburgh, PA. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of thirty-seven years, Joseph F. Zunic. Cece and Joe met, married, raised three children, enjoyed time with family, and developed many life-long friendships in Pittsburgh before relocating to Ellicott City, MD in 1986.


She is survived by her three children, Joe (Stacey) Zunic of Pittsburgh, PA, Christine (Christopher) Tincher of Marriottsville, MD, and Beth Ann (Randy) Stout of Sykesville, MD, her six grandchildren, Michael (Katelyn), Joe, and Katie Tincher, LJ, Nelson, and Caroline Westwood, her four siblings, Frances (George) Saxon, Elizabeth (Terrance) Mahoney, Tina Bartosiewicz, and Edward Bartosiewicz, her sisters in-law Catherine (Edward) Churilla, Ann Marie (John) Yakich and Alice (Lawrence) Zunic along with many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
