 Mishawaka, IN - Nancy (Sheffield) Hahn Wiggins, 80, passed peacefully at home on Friday, March 19, 2021. Nancy was born on April 27, 1940, in Mishawaka to Harold and Lucille (Jenkinson) Sheffield. Nancy graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1958 and attended Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL 1971-1973. Nancy married Jack Freshley in 1958; that union ended in divorce in 1971.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, JoAnn Ligget; brother, George Sheffield; stepson, Jeff Hahn; and a grandson, J.D. Hahn. On July 15, 1978, she married Lee E. Hahn who preceded her in death on January 17, 1998. Nancy then married Ronald R. Wiggins on October 16, 2004. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Ronald; and son Daniel (Vicki) Freshley of Montgomery Village, MD; daughters Dara Freshley Uria (Steve) of Dania Beach, FL and Ryan Hahn of Mishawaka, IN; stepsons, Todd Hahn of Nappanee, IN, Ronald (Susan) Wiggins, Jr. of Temecula, CA, Tim (Kimra) Wiggins of Spokane, WA; stepdaughter, Kimberly (Mark) Smith of Canyon Country, CA; grandchildren, Daniel (Sarah) Freshley, Jr., Shawn Freshley, Megan Freshley, Gabriella Rodriguez, Alexandra Rodriguez Heiman (Nathan), Rylee Jay and Cooper Jay, Josh Hahn, Ashlee Hahn, and Kaylynne (Ryan) Johnson; step-grandchildren, Nicole Stewart, Patrick Stewart, Samantha (Tommy) Greenhill and seven additional step-grandchildren; and niece, Genna (Patrick) Carroll.

Nancy lived in Fort Lauderdale, FL from 1964–1975, where she was employed in social work for the Florida State Dept. of Public Welfare. She also worked as a model for various clothing stores and specialty boutiques in Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, and The Bahamas. She returned to Mishawaka in 1975 and retired from the University of Notre Dame’s Kellogg Institute in 2005. Nancy was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mishawaka, IN, St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Auxiliary, Town and Country Estates Association secretary, and she was a volunteer at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Nancy was a deeply loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was everything to her. She cherished her friends and was cherished by all. She also loved to cook, spending many hours preparing for family, friends, and anyone in need.

A public Visitation for Nancy will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN.

A Private Funeral service will be held for the family on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. also at Hahn Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Joyce Kuhn.

A private burial for the family will follow in Ferrisville Cemetery, Mishawaka, IN.
