Passed away peacefully on May 9, 2012 at the age of 77. Cherished husband for 59 years of Heidi. Devoted father of Roy James Schlingman (1978), Dennis Schlingman & Ruth, Heidy Cassidy & Rick. Proud Opa of Kory James, Katie Lynn and Douglas Roy. Survived by family in Germany. Manfred was a proud proprietor, serving many of the Windsor & Essex tool & mould businesses. He had a great love of aviation and enjoyed creating prototypes of hobby hovercrafts. Manfred was a wonderful provider for his family and leaves his legacy of love behind to them. He will be sadly missed. Donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Cremation has taken place.
