Funeral services for Lena Frances Lewis Stringer, age 69, of Nacogdoches, Texas will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Laird Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor, Michael McGrath and Pastor, Nathan Panell officiating and burial to follow in Maroney Cemetery. She was born October 13, 1942 in Crockett, Texas, the daughter of Jesse Orman Lewis, Sr. and Josephine (Neiuda) Lewis and passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Lena was raised in Crockett and graduated from Crockett High School; she and Bill Royce Stringer were married February 7, 1961, resided in Burk, Texas for 25 years, then they moved to Nacogdoches. Lena loved spending time with her grandchildren, reading her Bible daily and church activities at Still Waters Cowboy Church in Huntington. She enjoyed flower gardening, shopping, cooking and baking.

Lena is survived by her daughters, April McGrath and husband, Michael of Castaic, California and Kimberly smith and husban, Wayne of Nacogdoches; 6 grandchildren, Justin Smith, Kaleigh Smith and Billy James Msith, all of Nacogdoches, Joshua McGrath, Andrew McGrath and Aaron McGrath, all of Castiac, California; 2 brothers, Billy Joe Lewis and wife, Virginia and Jesse Lewis, all of Crockett, Texas; sister, Elizabeth Low and husband, "Pete" of North Zulch, Texas; her faithful canine companion, Sue and numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family, church family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Jesse Orman and Josephine Lewis Lena was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Billy Royce Stringer, Sr.; son, Billy Royce Stringer, Jr.; daughter, Teresa Lynn Stringer and sister, Paula Marie Lewis.

Pallbearers will be Bob Clawson, Rodney Goff, Billy Mark Lewis, David Winthrop, James Thomas and Steve Morgan. Honary pallbearers will be Robert McGrath, Travis Wall and Bill Ross.

Visitation with Lena's family will be from 6 until 8 PM, Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Laird Funeral Home.
