Ronald Ray Messer
Ronald “Ronnie” Ray Messer, age 75 passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at his home. Born in York SC on August 12, 1945, he was the son of Irene Messer Granger. Ronnie was a trucker and worked for South Pine Needle and worked security for Daimler. He served in the Army. Ronnie enjoyed fishing and penny poker. Ronnie was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. In addition to his mother and his grandparents who raised him, Ronnie is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Reep Messer; a son, Ronald Scott Messer; a daughter, Lee Edwards; grandson, Tyler Lewis; and a sister, Patricia Messer. Ronnie is survived by a son, Jody Messer and wife Tonya of Clover, three daughters, Renee Messer of Gastonia, Cindy Edwards of Anderson SC, and Lisa Harper and husband Clev of Las Vegas; a brother, John-Pat Granger and wife Joy of New York; five grandchildren, Christin Ugolik and husband Nick, Aleigh Caldwell and husband Justin, Kaley Messer, Justin Messer, and Nickolas Wright; four great grandchildren, Gavin Ugolik, Natalia Ugolik, Chezeray Ugolik, and Riley Caldwell; and a host of other loving family member. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 5:00 pm at the home of his granddaughter Christin Ugolik.Obituary
