R. Sondra Pobst, age 75, passed away on March 1st, 2021 after a hard battle fighting lung cancer. She was born to Clyde Mason and Rita Brotherton on August 2, 1945 in Oran, MO. Sondra was a member of the St. Mary’s Cathedral Church, a hair stylist in Cape Girardeau, MO from 1975 to 2015, and belonged to many quilting guilds. She is survived by a daughter Rhonda Neater of Cape Girardeau, MO, sons Rodney and Randy Pobst both of Cape Girardeau, MO sister Billie Davis of Ironton, MO, two half-sisters Patty Turner and Penny Luttrell six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Joseph Pobst, brothers Ronnie Mason, Richard, Larry and Mark Hatley, half-brother John Mason, half-sisters Janet Edmonston and Judi Lynn. In Lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the American Lung Association in her memory. Graveside service will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Oran, MO at 12:30PM Tuesday, March 16th with Father Allan Saunders officiating. There will be a gathering of friends and family immediately following at the Grecian Steakhouse, Cape Girardeau, MO. A memorial Mass will be August 2nd, 2021 at 8:00AM at St Mary’s Cathedral in Cape Girardeau. Liley Cremation Services was in charge of arrangements.
