Frank Kalman, Jr., 81, passed away Sunday March 7, 2021.
He was the son of Frank and Ann Kalman (nee Harsany). He attended Cleveland Public Schools.
Frank served in the Navy on the icebreaker USS Glacier. One of his favorite ports was in New Zealand. Following his service he trained Standardbred race horses at Northfield Park for 30 years. To relax he enjoyed fishing, auctions and flea markets.
He is survived by his children Mary Beth Deree (Marvin), Lorie Strah (Thomas), Frank Kalman III (Susan), John Kalman (Suzanne); companion Nancy Wheeler; sisters Nancy Villao and Marianne Kalman; grandchildren Daniel, Casey, Jacob, Michael, John and Kevin.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. Anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution may do so to the veteran's charity of their choice.
