VIRGINIA BEACH - Patricia Hawkins Sinclair, 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 16, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was a retired school teacher having taught at Parish Day School in Virginia Beach for over 30 years. Born in Charlottesville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Virginia V. Stimson Hawkins and James Leigh Hawkins. Pat was a graduate of Lane High School in Charlottesville, she attended Mary Washington College and was a graduate of the University of Virginia. She was a member of St Simons Episcopal Church in Sandbridge. She was a longtime resident of Sandbridge. She was a lifelong reader, teacher, excellent cake baker and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 64 years. Bill Sinclair, 2 daughters, Kippy Sinclair of Beaufort, SC and Page Sorey (Ben) of Southern Shores, NC; 2 sons, Carter Sinclair (Ellen) of Virginia Beach and Chris Sinclair (Karen) of Orlando, FL; a brother, Stimp Hawkins of Greensboro, NC; 7 grandchildren Cappy, Andy, Emily, Scott, Allison, Caroline and Annie, 8 great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 pm on Saturday, May 7th at Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church with Rev. Marni Schneider officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Butterfly Fund for Parish Day School at Eastern Shore Chapel or St Simons Episcopal Church at Sandbridge Virginia. H. D.
