Jamileh Nasser Nazzal

Jamileh Nasser Nazzal, born February 3,1936 in Birziet, Palestine, passed away peacefully at her home on February 28, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She lost her Mother at the very early age of 3 and was raised by her elder siblings where they all tended their Father's farm. Jamileh had many chores before and after school. She went on to marry Nazzal H. Nazzal who worked as a tailor with her older brother. They had 3 beautiful children who were all born in Ramallah, Palestine. To create a better and more prosperous life for their family, they saved a few dollars and fled to America and settled down in San Francisco. As Dad worked, Mom watched out for her children. She kept an immaculate home and cooked the most amazing meals. In 1963 Jamileh had another child. She then went on to help her husband in the many grocery stores as well as keeping a tidy and structured home environment. Keeping up with the daily challenges of raising children, running a household, and working - she still managed to find time to entertain guests. She was like the energizer bunny that never slept. Jamileh was always a hard-working proud woman and was very generous with her loving care and kindness to others. So many people loved her for her magnificent strength and warm personality. She stood by her husband through sickness and health. You know the saying "behind every good man is a good woman", well that pretty much describes Jamileh. A good woman who loved her family and would give of herself to all who were in need. She is mother to 4 children: Jihad, Suzzan, Kamal, and Kamelia. She is grandmother to 10 and great-grandmother to 11. She is now joined again with the love of her life, her husband Nazzal, who passed away in 2015. A light in our household is gone but will never be forgotten.
