Billie A. Armstrong Gambrills, Maryland Obituary

Billie A. Armstrong

BIllie Ann Armstrong born on April 8, 1934 in Bismark ND. She passed away at her home on February 28, 2021 with her daughter beside her. Billie's loved ones whom have passed on before her in order. Retired Chief from the US Navy Robert Armstrong Husband, Father Emory Woodworth, Granddaughter, Brittany Smith, Son Scott Armstrong, and Grandson Jonathan Armstrong.Surviving are her children, Doug & Willie Armstrong of ID and 4 children, Marc & Peggy Armstrong of NY 2 children, Gary & Linda Armstrong MD 3 children, Brad Armstrong MD 2 children, and Robin Smith 4 children. Mom also has many, many Great Grandchildren. She loved to bake and cook for her family and friends. She was a Manager of South Shore Elementary School Cafeteria for many years. Once again cooking for others and loving it. She was also a Volunteer at Herald Harbor Volunteer Fire Dept. 6 for many years. They were her other family as she would always say. She loved helping out with anything they needed. With the events you would always find her in the kitchen. Then hugging everyone as they came in. Then the time came at one event. She was being hugged by people she didn't know anymore. That was the last time she was able to help. She would go to the meetings for the Fire Dept. but soon that would end as well. I remeber telling them she wasn't able to come back because she was scared. It was heartbreaking to see how scared she was of her Fire Dept. family, and more devastating to let them know. Last but not least she loved her Community of Palisades on the Severn. We moved in 1973 and she lived her ever since. She loved the people of Palisades and so many wonderful memories. Through the good times and bad happy and sad Mom always wanted to make sure the people she loved knew how important they were to her.. If anyone is wondering why all the Grand kids names were not put in the message, that was Mom. When my father passed she was very upset to see her kids names in an obituary. She would talk about how she wanted this to be written for a few years every now and then. This is the way she would want it.. Thank you all for Loving my Mom Billie Ann Armstrong IN lieu of flowers Please make donations to Hospice of the Chesapeake or Herald Harbor Volunteer Fire Dept. Station 6
