Marion L. Landers, 68, of Wolcottville, IN, died Saturday, December 6, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Landers lived his life in LaGrange County, and was the owner of CarQuest Auto Parts in LaGrange which he started in 1976. He was a member of South Milford Church of Christ and the South Milford Lions Club. He collected and restored antique cars and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. Mr. Landers was born on April 23, 1940 in Kendallville, IN to Jesse and Geraldine (Leonard) Landers. On June 12, 1959 he married Wanda Bateman in Wolcottville, IN. Mrs. Landers survives in Wolcottville. Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Mike Todd of Wolcottville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Curt and Mary Catherine Landers of Wolcottville, and Jack and Lori Landers of Noblesville, IN; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Megan Landers, Morgan Landers, Trent Landers, Molly Landers, Erika Todd, Kati Todd, Jami and Matt Beck, Ashley and Mike Rocchio, and Kyle Landers; his foster parents, Ike and Arlene Dallas of Wolcottville; a sister, Laura Cusick of Waterloo, IN; four brothers, Fred Landers of Tampa, FL, Donald Landers of Corunna, IN, Raymond Landers of Mancelona, MI, and Richard Landers; and a foster sister, Elaine Lambright of LaGrange. Preceding him in death were his parents; a granddaughter, Erin Todd; three sisters; and a brother. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 11:00 am at South Milford Church of Christ with Rev. Brian Walter and James Mertz officiating. Burial will be in South Milford Cemetery in South Milford, IN. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange.
