Carl Richard Wilkinson

Carl Richard Wilkinson, of Rolla, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the age of 92. He was born in Salem, MO to the late William Henry Wilkinson and Julia Irene (Smith) Wilkinson. On August 23, 1952 he married Dorse (Timm) Wilkinson who preceded him in death on October 7, 2019. Mr. Wilkinson was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served from 1954-1960. He retired as a Management Information Director in civil service at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. Carl was a longtime, faithful member of the First Assembly of God in Rolla where he served as a deacon as well as a Sunday School Teacher for fifty years. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by five brothers, James Marvin Wilkinson, William Edward Wilkinson, Melvin Jackson Wilkinson, Alfred Henry Wilkinson, and Bobby Gene Wilkinson; and his sister, Ada Mae Mason. He will be deeply missed by his surviving family which includes three children, Sharon Lister and husband Larry, of Nixa, MO, Steve Wilkinson and wife Brenda, of Olive Branch, MS, and Susan Willeford and husband Brent, of Rolla; seven grandchildren, Jason Lister, Jodie Huff, Jaime Olivarez, Courtney Arensman, Cailey Jackson, Brandon Skyles, and Brittany Frazee; sixteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members and dear friends. A funeral service for Carl Wilkinson will be held at 1 pm. Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the First Assembly of God in Rolla. Interment with full military honors will follow in Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service Wednesday beginning at noon at the church. The service will also be livestreamed on the church's Facebook page.
