Nancy McGoldrick

Nancy L. (DeDominic) McGoldrick, 76, of Clinton Rd. West Norriton, died February 24, 2021 at the Horsham Center, North Wales after an illness. Born in Norristown on September 2, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Michael P. and Sarafina A. (Perna) DeDominic and wife of the late Robert "Terry" McGoldrick. Survivors include her 3 sons: Shawn (Jacqueline) McGoldrick of Schwenksville, PA; Scott C. McGoldrick of Blandon, PA; and Ryan D. (Vanesa) McGoldrick of Middletown, NJ; five grandchildren - Olivia, Gavin, Aidan, Ian and Isabela and one great granddaughter, Autumn. Also her brother Michael A. (Dale Power) DeDominic, Sr. of West Chester; and an extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins. A 1962 graduate of Bishop Kenrick High School, Nancy had a successful career working in the defense aerospace industry, starting at General Electric where she met her husband and established lifelong friendships with her co-workers. After becoming a mother to her three sons, she re-joined the work force with Martin Marietta, which became Lockheed Martin. In later years, when offered the opportunity to expand and grow her career she and a partner started their own business, becoming contractors to the Department of Defense and eventually she returned to Lockheed Martin until her retirement. Nancy had many friends and enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing Mahjong, attending book club and traveling. Her favorite trip was the pilgrimage she took to Our Lady of the Rosary in Fatima, Portugal. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Visitation BVM Church. After her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a fantastic cook and baker and loved nothing more than large gatherings with her family and friends over a great meal. Over the last several years she took trips to the Caribbean, France, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Turkey and Canada. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her two brothers Anthony "PeeWee" and John DeDominic. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 9 - 10.20 am at Visitation BVM (upper) Church, 196 N. Trooper Rd., Ntn., PA. Her memorial Mass will follow at 10.30 am. Inurnment of her cremains will be private in St. Patrick's Cemetery & Mausoleum, 2400 DeKalb Pike, E. Norriton, PA. Arr with the Caramenico FH Inc., Ntn., PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Nancy's name to the Melanoma Research Foundation, 1420 K Street, NW, 7th Floor, Washington, DC 20005 and at Melanoma.org; Wills Eye Hospital, 840 Walnut St., Phila., PA 19107 and at Willseye.org/giving; or Jefferson Hospital, 111 So. 11th St., Phila., PA 19107 and at Giving.Jefferson.edu; or the charity of your choice.
