Alvin Jackson Komperdo Obituary

ALVIN KOMPERDO (also known as AJ Low Horn)

December 26, 1976 – February 12, 2021

It is with great sadness that our brother, nephew and friend has peacefully gone home to our lord, on Friday February 12, 2021 due to health complications.

Alvin was born in Alberta though lived in Vancouver and Winnipeg for most of his adult life where he had many friends that he considered family. He was known to his friends and family in Vancouver as AJ. Alvin was grounded within the spiritual way and loved to smudge not only himself but others that requested his prayers, he was a very kind but private person.

Alvin is survived by his siblings: Angel (Erwin), Shelaine, Terry, and Kristin; his aunt: Rachel First Rider, adopted father Rene King, along with nieces, nephews and many cousins. Alvin is predeceased by his parents Grace and Brian Komperdo, biological father Al Nashkew, as well as his Auntie/Mom Hilda Red Gun, and grandparents Albertine and Jack Low Horn.

Wake services will be celebrated at St.Mary's Catholic Church, Cluny, AB on March 3,2021 at 12:00 p.m.. with Funeral service immediately to follow at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Paul Little Walker Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB).

The family would like to thank Vincent Smith of Vancouver BC, Martin Morberg of Victoria BC, Dr. Peter Centre in Vancouver BC, as well as Thom's Funeral Home for taking care of our brother on his journey home.
