Larry Davis Fisher Exmore, Virginia Obituary

Larry Davis Fisher

arry’s Journey Larry Davis Fisher passed away on February 20, 2021 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital surrounded by loved ones, after battling a long term illness which, he fought with valor and dignity.  He was born to the late Frank T. Fisher, Sr. and Corine Custis Fisher on September 26, 1950 in Northampton County, Virginia.  After graduating from Northampton County High School in 1968, he joined Job Corp until he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He began his trucking career in the early to mid-70's and had the dream of owning his own truck one day. Larry owned two trucks, one in which he continued to own and operate until retiring in March 2020. He loved the open road and spoke fondly of things he had the opportunity to see and experience during his travels. Larry was known to give you the shirt off his back. Those of us who truly knew him, knew that he was an extremely comical individual. He will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Larry is survived by: his loving mother, Corine Custis Fisher; his sister, Lucy M. Fisher, (who tirelessly cared for Larry while battling his illness); four brothers, Frank T. Fisher, Jr. (Rosetta), Charles L. Fisher (Cardalla), Nilemorvin Fisher (Linda) and Clide N. Fisher (Linda J.); two daughters, Tamara D. Griffin and Mandisa Carter; a nephew who was like a son to Larry, Tremayne Fisher (Racquel); three aunts; one uncle, Norman Custis (Maggie) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Larry was preceded in death by his loving father, Frank Thaddeus Fisher, Sr., brother, Boby Custis, Sr., both maternal grandparents, Stanley and Lucy Custis and paternal grandparents, Lankford and Lettie Fisher, and nephews,  Boby Custis, Jr. and Frank Fisher III.
