Delphine Hebert Hoffpauir Obituary

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 26, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Delphine Hebert Hoffpauir, 94, who passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 4:47 a.m. at Southwind Assisted Living. Fr. Marshall Boulet will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Delphine (Dell) was born December 7, 1926 to Albert and Edolie Quebodeaux Hebert, the 6th of six children. She was raised in Rayne and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1943. After high school she attended Hotel dieu Nursing school in New Orleans. She worked at the Acadia Hospital and with Dr. Faulk. She worked at Sears with Ruth Sonnier for 20 years. She married, Marvin Hoffpauir, Jr. in 1950 and they were married for 59 years at the time of his death and had three sons, Stephen, Mark, and Wayne. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved cooking, baking, and gardening and was very devoted to her catholic faith as a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Mrs. Hoffpauir is survived by two sons, Stephen Hoffpauir and his wife, Carla of Crowley, Mark Hoffpauir and his wife, Sharon of Crowley; 5 grandchildren, Erin McManus (Eric), Zachary Hoffpauir, Josh Hoffpauir (Ashley), Lauren Vardai (Ioan), Leah Hoffpauir; and 10 great-grandchildren, Lane, and Brea Hoffpauir, Leela and Seby Vardai, Wyatt and Jessie McManus, Audrey Hoffpauir, Sarah, Lindsey, and Jack; and a daughter-in-law, Renee Hoffpauir. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Hoffpauir, Jr.; one son, Wayne Hoffpauir; two sisters, Lena Owens, and Mable Fontenot; three brothers, Firman, Vincent and Clement Hebert. In keeping with the State of Louisiana mandate mask will be required for the visitation and mass.
