Alicia “Patsy” Crawford Howell Mrs. Howell, 87, of Charlotte passed peacefully Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Asbury Care Center at Aldersgate in Charlotte, NC. She was born in Rowland, NC January 3, 1934, daughter of the late Henry K and Alicia Sumner Crawford and had one sibling, younger sister Francis Anne who lived in England. Anne also passed peacefully on February 17, 2021. Patsy graduated from Greensboro College in 1956 with a degree in Art and taught in Virginia Beach, VA. She married Ottice Lee Howell of Monroe, NC on July 27, 1958 at Centenary Methodist Church in Rowland, NC. Their sons are David Howell (wife Velerie) of Winston-Salem, NC and Mark Howell (wife Lynne) of Matthews, NC; grandsons are Noah Henry Howell and Jonah David Howell, college students at UNC-Chapel Hill. Patsy was a faithful member at Providence United Methodist Church and enjoyed dance, art, travel, photography, design and the beach. Her lifelong friends were from her youth, college and church. Mrs. Howell was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Due to the current coronavirus pandemic, a gathering of family and friends is not possible at this time.
