Paul Thomas Springowski, 93 , of Lorain, died at on February 15, 2021 at New Life Hospice after a brief illness. He was born December 21, 1927 in Lorain. Paul spent his childhood in Jersey City, NJ before moving back to Lorain where he has resided most of his life. Paul graduated from Lorain High School and attended the Cleveland Institute of Art. He was a veteran of the US Navy, after he was discharged he served with the US Merchant Marine until 1950. He had worked as a Stationary Steam Engineer at Ford Motor Co., Lorain for 35 years, retiring in 1995. Paul was a member of the Old-Timers Club and enjoyed painting, reading and studying history, and he loved classical music. He is survived by his son, Thomas (Mary) Springowski of Lorain; grandchildren, Kathleen (Brendan Dolan) Newsome, Mary Christina (Shane) Seipel, Meaghan Donovan, and Paul Springowski; great grandchildren, Sean and Sebastian; and his sister, Mary Martha Springowski-Bates, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Mary (nee Maziarz) Springowski and his parents, Stanley Theodore and Charlotte Barbara (nee Baclawski) Springowski.
