Charlotte Spoto, age 89, of Council Bluffs, passed away February 8, 2021 at CHI-Mercy Hospital. Charlotte was born September 28, 1931 in Council Bluffs to the late Thomas and Annie (Leggio) Spoto. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1951. After High School, Charlotte worked for the Council Bluffs Bus Transit System. Following employment at the Council Bluffs Savings Bank, she began her career with Mercy Hospitals. Charlotte spent one year at Bergan Mercy in Omaha, then transferred to Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, where she spent a total of 32 years doing office work in Payables and Payroll. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church; St. Ann’s Altar & Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters of the Americas, St. Anthony Court #330. In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her brothers, Sebastian, Sam , Phillip and Joe. Charlotte is survived by nieces and nephews. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter’s Catholic Church or St. Ann’s Altar & Rosary Society.
