Saramma Abraham of Summit, NJ passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home with her loving family by her side on Friday, February 12, 2021 at the age of 87.
The visitation will be held at Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, 7 Summit Ave., Summit, NJ on Friday, Feb. 19th, from 5-7 PM with a prayer service to begin at 6 PM and can be viewed by livestream at

Saramma was born in Chathanoor, Kerala, India to Chinnamma and K.G. Varghese Muthalaly. She had resided in India before moving to Summit, NJ in 2015.
Saramma is lovingly remembered for her selflessness; always putting her family needs before her own. Saramma is always known to have a smile on her face, no matter the circumstances. One of her incredible abilities was brightening up a room with her cheerful and fun loving self. Her other incredible ability was her hospitality to family and friends; she always made everyone welcome. Her graciousness and love for her family and friends will forever be treasured. She was also a woman of strong faith and lived it in her daily life.
Saramma was pre-deceased by her beloved husband K. Abraham Mathew, her loving daughter Annu Alexander, and 2 brothers. She is survived by her loving daughters, May Abraham Fridel and Susan Jacob; her dear sons-in-law, Frank Fridel, Alexander Thomas and Anoop Jacob, and her cherished grandchildren, Thomas Alexander with his wife Brittany, Abin Alexander, Matthew Fridel and Angelena Jacob. Saramma is also survived by 3 sisters and 1 brother, as well as many loving relatives and friends, all in India.
