Ginny Meredith Brown

Chesapeake – Ginny Meredith Brown, 40, of Chesapeake, passed away after a long, hard fought battle with Melanoma. Born in Virginia Beach, she was the daughter of Donald Ray Floyd and the late Lynanne Meekins Floyd. Ginny was a 1999 graduate of Hickory High School. “Big Red”, as she was affectionately known, was a highly regarded and much-loved cheering coach at Great Bridge High School for many years. Her life and impact on those she touched may never be fully measured. Including her father, Ginny is survived by her husband, Paul Kenneth Brown, III; her daughter, Peyton Brown; her step-son, Paul K. Brown IV; sisters, Ashley Forsythe (David) and Erin Harnage; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. A celebration of Ginny’s life is pending at this time.
