Robert Forrest Isbell Marietta, Georgia Obituary

Robert Forrest Isbell

Robert Forrest Isbell, age 49, of Dallas, GA, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Friday, February 12th. Robert was born in Atlanta, GA to his mother June E. McCuen and his father Forrest R. Isbell. He grew up with his other half, his partner in crime, his laughter on any gloomy day, his sister Debra I. Camp. In his wildest days, he was glued to the hip with his childhood and life long best friend, Chris Graham. In his 20’s, Robert met Tina A. Portwood, his former ex wife, and fell in love. They began to grow their family and had their first child, a daughter in 1993, Hollie C. Isbell. They couldn’t wait for more little feet to be running around, and had their second child, a little boy, Jacob F. Isbell in 1997. Robert was an amazing father with his kids being his whole world. Robert spent his most recent years making a choice to do everything that made him happy in life. Oh the places you would find him. You would find him out on a beautiful day in a river, fishing for hours. You would find him working at his happiest place, Gables Sporting Goods. Although, I am not quite sure if you could call it work as he loved it so much he would even be there on his off days. He loved to be outdoors, hunting and finding the best shooting ranges! And in all, nothing made him happier than spending time with his family and filling his tummy with his mom's cooking. Robert's friends and family will always remember him as being a hardworking man and someone who could always put a smile on your face. Robert is also survived by his grandson, James Forrest. As well as his nephews, Kaylon R. Camp and Cameron R. Camp. A viewing is scheduled on Thursday, February, 19th at Southern Cremations and Funerals from 3pm - 4pm with a memorial service to follow from 4pm - 5pm. Friends and family are welcome to attend and celebrate Bobby’s life. There will be a live video streaming for the memorial for those who are not able to make it at https://youtu.be/XKIfDiCFSIA
