Clayton R. Willman

<p>East Cobleskill - Clayton R. Willman, 82, of East Cobleskill passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021, at the Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home.</p> <p>He was born on October 3, 1938, in Central Bridge, NY and was the son of the late Merwin and Minnie (Clapper) Willman.</p> <p>Upon graduating from high school, Clayton enlisted in the United State Army and served his country from 1958 until receiving an honorable discharge in 1961. &nbsp;Throughout his life, he enjoyed small engine repair, woodworking, long car rides, and spending time with his family.</p> <p>He is predeceased by three brothers; Leland, Donald, Charles, and one sister; Nancy Willman.</p> <p>Clayton is survived by brothers Edward Willman and Richard Willman, his daughters; Cindi Willman, Dawn Surnear and Lori Willman, his son-in laws; Allen Dibble, Mike Surnear, John Dibble, Stephen Minnich and Maylon Proctor Jr., his Grandchildren; Joe Proctor and Nicole Reid-Proctor, Brian Proctor, Paul Minnich and Jess Lindsey, Scott Minnich, Marissa Dibble and Alicia Van Auken, and Dillon Dibble, his Great Grandchildren; Addelyn Proctor, Carter Proctor, and Dagan Dibble, and also a special family member, Phil Minnich.</p> <p>A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 11AM on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Cobleskill Rural Cemetery, Hillview Section.</p> <p>Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion, Fred L. Stilson Post #57, PO Box 252, Cobleskill, NY&nbsp; 12043.</p> <p>Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY.</p>
