Patti Crawford Obituary

Carolyn Patricia (Patti) Crawford, 78, of Cherokee Village, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021. She was born November 29,1942 to Gilbert and Ann Thweatt of Memphis, Tennessee. Patti was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and she was loved by all who met her. She is and always will be one in a million. Her beautiful smile and laughter can never be forgotten. Those that had the honor of meeting her would carry her in their heart throughout life. Patti was faithful in her love for Jesus and a follower of Christ. She loved music, especially gospel, and to listen to her husband Mike play the guitar. She could be found in attendance in the local shows around Cherokee Village with her friends and neighbors, and she loved to dance with and sing to her grandchildren. She loved cooking and hosting get-togethers for her family. Her homemade biscuits were the best. Patti was a cook for American Commercial Barge Lines in life, and she served her community as secretary of the board at Oak Grove High School, where her children attended. She talked about these as the best years of her life. Patti was an adventurer. She learned to ski in the Gulf of Mexico with only a ski belt, she took airplane pilot lessons, and she was always on the go. Her favorite class in school was Short-Hand, and when someone was talking, she would use her fingers to do short-hand on her leg with imaginary strokes. She even wiggled her big toe while she was sleeping or dreaming or when she was just trying to figure something out. Her home was a safe haven for all the grandchildren who spent as much time there as life would allow. She had a very big heart, and if she ever found out you were having a bad day, she'd pick you up to have a Coke or spend the night at grandma's house. Survivors include her husband Mike Crawford, her children. Toni Trammell, Rod Trammell, Angel Pitcher and Shannon Trammell. Grandchildren Cortney Reinhart, Blake Reinhart, Payton Crabtree, Gaylon Scott Trammell, Amber Trammell, Rodney Trammell, Ashley Borg, Rhett Southard, Alexis Baker, Anthony Picture, Rachel Picture, Seth Gomer, and many great grandchildren. She is preceeded in death by her parents, her brothers, Butch and Don Thweatt, and her daughter, Belinda Edrington. I never left you I watch you every day, I am always very near, I know deep in your heart you realize I am here. I watch you while you sleep in your bed at home, I hear you when you speak to me when you are on your own, you cannot understand the reasons why I have gone but I will never leave you, I am there to keep you strong. Talk to me for I hear you though you may not se, we share an unbroken bond that will always be, death will not keep us apart for our love is forever, just remember me in your heart and one day we will be together. Live your life and live it full don’t waste a single day, remember I am always with you, every step of the way.
