Mr. Paul Acree of Seymour, Indiana was born on December 7, 1953 in Fry, Kentucky to the late Lucian Acree and Lula Mae (Richards) Acree. He departed this life on Friday, February 12, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the First Church of God and served his country proudly during the Vietnam War in the Army. He retired from CSX Railroad (formerly Baltimore & Ohio Railroad) after 38 years of dedicated service. Paul was a wonderful father, dedicated grandfather, and was a classic car enthusiast. He was also an active member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way union for employees who build and maintain the tracks, bridges, buildings and other structures on the railroads of the United States and helped fight for better accommodations for his fellow workers while on the job site. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, George Acree, Frank Acree and David Acree; sisters, Christine Pickett, Katherine Kemp and Noami Leavelle.

He is survived by his sons, Josh (Leighann Mitchell), Jason (Destiny) Acree, Bradley (Molly) Acree, and Adam (Rachael) Acree; grandchildren Gavin Hurley, Noah Acree, and Shealynn Acree; step-grandchildren Kurt Austin and Jordan Cone; sisters Rose Mae Pruitt and Mary Lou Derrick. Plus, a host of other relatives and friends.

A walk-through visitation will be 5 until 7 p.m., Eastern Time, Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at the Voss & Sons Funeral Service in Seymour.

Funeral Services will be conducted 2 p.m., Central Time, Friday February 19, 2021 at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Willard Parson officiating. Burial will follow in the Coffey Cemetery with Full Military Honors provided by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be 12 p.m., Central Time, Friday until the funeral hour.

The family has suggested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.  These can be made at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.
