Dorothy Flook

Mrs. Dorothy Flook, 85, longtime resident of Bastress, died Feb. 12, 2021 at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of the late Glen E. Flook who preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 2011. Dorothy was born Aug. 1, 1935 at Williamsport, the daughter of the late John L. and Laura A. (Miller) Haas. She was preceded in death by her stepmother, the late Florence A. Haas. She was a member of Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church at Bastress. She was a member of the Saint Ann's Society of the church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus. She enjoyed camping, cooking and helping others. Dorothy had been employed as a librarian and teacher's aide. Dorothy is survived by her four sons, Glen E. (Ann) Flook of Scottsdale, Ariz., Michael J. (Carol) Flook of Lindley, N.Y., Robert F. Flook of Bastress, and Daniel J. (Sandra) Flook of Williamsport. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Diane (David) Rudy, Charles (Paige) Flook, Katherine (Daniel) Coumides, and Michelle (Matthew) Brock; and her eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services and the Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Feb. 21, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church at Bastress. Her priest, Father Bert Kozen, will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery following the burial. There will be no visitation and the family will provide the flowers.
