Glenda Lee Jordan passed peacefully on February 12, 2021 in Amarillo, Texas.  Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday February 19, 2021 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home with Doctor Buddy Young officiating. Glenda’s family will receive friends on Thursday February 18, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.

She was born Glenda Lee Crawford, on July 24, 1944 to Curtis and Imogene Cross Crawford.  Glenda graduated from Hedgesville High, in May 1962.  She immediately moved to Washington D.C., were she found the love of her life, Jerry D. Jordan, and her first job at the Daughters of the American Revolution.  She married Jerry D. on July 20, 1963, in the little white chapel, on Fort Belvoir, VA.  She would spend the next 14 years, as the loving wife to a career military man, starting a family and becoming the supportive mother to Damon and Dena.  In her dedication, she also ran the Non-Commissioned Officer’s wives club in Liephiem, Germany.  When her soldier retired, they made their home in Crosbyton, Texas.  She would then spend the next 18 years as an employee of the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital, and in her spare time as a booster for the local high school booster club.  It was always a given that her voice would be the one heard on a Friday night.  Later she would help her husband realize his dream of owning and operating a family drive in, Jordan’s Red Barn, also located in Crosbyton.  She would take great pride in the home cooked meal she would serve to her family and friends in the community.  In all that Glenda did nothing meant more to her than taking care of her family; being supportive in any and everyway possible.  She took great pride in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Glenda is proceeded in death by both of her parents, Curtis and Imogene Cross Crawford.  Her husband Jerry.  She is survived by a son, Damon and Zanna, of Fort Worth, TX, daughter Dena and Amador, of Amarillo, Tx, four grandchildren, Ashleigh and Anthony Pereida, and Kobie V. and LynZee Jordan, and two great grandchildren Karter and Kinzley.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
