DewAnn Strahorn

DewAnn Randall Strahorn passed away February 12, 2021 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She was born December 17, 1930 in Alva, Oklahoma to Dewey and Frances Randall. She attended Alva Public Schools and Northwestern Oklahoma State University. She received her Masters Degree in Education from the University of Oklahoma. She was a member of Meadowood Baptist Church, Delta Zeta Sorority, Kappa Kappa Iota, Oklahoma Reading Council and Moore Reading Council. She was also a member of the Primrose Garden Club in Midwest City. DewAnn taught in several school districts and ended her career as Reading Coordinator at Moore Public Schools. DewAnn and Jack were married on July 27, 1952 in Alva and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in July of 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack T. Strahorn; grandson, Riley T. Strahorn; and son, Donald Dewey Strahorn. She is survived by her son Tom Strahorn, wife Stacey and grandchildren Briana Strahorn Mattie and Taylor, Bailey, and Shelby Strahorn. She is also survived by daughter-in-law Lynda Strahorn Wren. Her grandchildren Ryan Strahorn and children Carlie and Harison; Jennifer Strahorn Perry and Jeremy and children Emily and Avery; Jaclyn Strahorn Percefull and Clint and children Carter, Hutch, Cooper and Hadley Ann; and Jonathan Strahorn and Brandy and children Olivia and Isla. She is survived as well by her loving sister, Loreen Riggs
