Rita Annette Freeman, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly on February 11, 2021 at the age of 60. She was born on April 22, 1960 in Edgewater, Florida and was adopted as a teenager by Harley and Lucille Freeman. Rita was raised in Wellington, Kansas and moved to Wichita, Kansas as a young woman and has resided there since. She enjoyed spending time writing and will be missed by her family. Survivors include her parents, Harley and Lucille Freeman of Wellington; brother, Bert Freeman of Wellington, Kansas; sister, Dixie Pennington of Wellington, Kansas; brother, JR Freeman of Wellington, Kansas along with a large extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
