She was born on March 14 1946, in Monroe to Grammont and Alyce (Hill) Breard. Grammont was a lineal descendant of Don Juan Filhiol, a prominent family who were among the founders of the present city of Monroe. He had spent his life here and was active in the growth and development of the city. She attended Neville High School in Monroe. Shortly after she married Ernest Michael Wilson of Delhi, LA, son of June Gattis. In 1966 they became the proud parents of Anne Michelle. She worked at various Women’s Boutique store. She later remarried James McCampbell Russell III and moved to Houston in 1973. She briefly returned to Monroe before moving to Harlingen, TX in 1987 and started her life as a Property Manager where she met many lifelong friends. She considered this as one of her greatest professional achievements. She then moved back to Monroe in 2009 where she reconnected with her old soulmate Carl Nolan. They built a beautiful, happy life together where she worked in retail clothing until she retired in 2019. They raised the cutest Pekingese dog, Mitzi, together. She always had a love for dogs but this one stole her heart. This led to Carl and her getting involved with and supporting the Humane Society Adoption Center of Monroe. They also enjoyed travelling with each other to visit family in New Braunfels and Houston, and some getaway trips to Hot Springs, AR. Her most special trip was when she travelled to Germany in 1989 to witness the birth of her only grandchild Michael, her absolute pride and joy in life. Some of her other loves and interests included George Strait (the music and the man), always having her nails and hair in pristine condition, her never ending hunt for the perfect piece of jewelry, enjoying the beauty of their backyard oasis with her favorite being anything purple and yellow. She loved butterflies and had numerous decorations in the garden and the house. And her latest and most peculiar hobby, the collection of anything and everything with vintage red trucks. Anne is survived by her daughter, Anne Michelle Podkulski and spouse Dan in Kingwood, TX; grandson, Michael Villwock and spouse Ashley in Kingwood, TX; and her husband Carl Nolan in Monroe, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Humane Society Adoption Center of Monroe 920 Freight Dr Monroe, LA 71203 Bayoudogs.org
