<p>Our beloved mother, Sylvia Lynn Mines- Jones departed this life on February 8th, 2021 to join our late father Clem Lee Jones, after 25 years of marriage.&nbsp; She leaves behind four daughters, Barbara Lynn Jones, Delia Louise Jones, Mary Elizabeth Jones and Kameelah Fatimaah Jones; her grandchildren, Myron Nashid Jones, Jason Albert Lucas Jr, and Mariana Elizabeth Russell-Jones; her siblings, Eric Mines and Myron Mines and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.</p> <p>In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister Sheila Mines-White and her brother Charles Franklin Mines II.<br /> <br /> Our mother lived for education and believed in enhancing oneself. She attended both Cleveland State University and Kent State University to network and sharpen her business skills. She also attended the Cleveland Institute of Music Settlement and was a member of the Super Diamond Music (ASCAP). Our mother was a published author and wrote many books in various genres. She lived her life to pursue her passion for art, music and most importantly to provide wisdom and love to her family. She especially taught her daughters to reach out and grab ahold of their dreams and to never let anyone steal their joy.<br /> <br /> Life will not be or feel the same without her powerful presence as she will be significantly missed. We will always love you mommy.</p> <p>A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 2:00PM at Bissler &amp; Sons Funeral Home, 628 West Main St. Kent, OH 44240.&nbsp; Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00PM-2:00PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.&nbsp; Covid-19 restrictions will be followed, masks and social distancing.&nbsp; To Share a Memory, Send a Condolence, Light a Candle or Send Flowers, visit the Tribute Wall at www.bisslerandsons.com.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
