Velma Ulee Murphy Howell, 53, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 at The Medical University of South Carolina. Born on June 26, 1967, in Georgetown, she was the daughter of Judy Elaine Glass Murphy and the late Harold Hill Murphy. Ms. Howell loved horseback riding, spending time with her family and friends, and lived life to the fullest. Survivors include her mother of Georgetown; her significant other, Keith Prosser of Andrews; one son, Weston Theodore Howell of Georgetown; one granddaughter, Aviana Howell of Georgetown; two brothers, Shannon Earl Murphy of Kingstree and Ian Allen Murphy of Georgetown; one aunt, Gloria Diane Elliott of Andrews; one uncle, Sammy Glass, Jr. of Wahalla and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Howell and her father, Harold Hill Murphy. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
