Sharon Rochelle Obituary

 Sharon ROCHELLE

With sadness, our family announces that Sharon Ann Rochelle passed away peacefully at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon on February 1, 2021. Sharon was predeceased by her husband Kenneth, parents Hugh and Anne Fenton, and sister Gail Dantow. She is survived by her children Janice Tall, Susan Kuzma (Zennon), David Tall (Lisa), and brother-in-law James Dantow and family. Sharon is also survived by her beloved seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; Dallas Haight (Corrinne) and their children Carter and Katie. Rachelle Ash (James) and their son Warner. Michael Kuzma (Alysia) and their children Lily and Simon. Krista Skakun (Bryce) and their son Cooper. Alexander Tall, Ashley Arthurs (Lance), and Vanessa Tall. Sharon was born and raised in Saskatoon on December 4, 1940 where she grew up in the Nutana area. She attended and graduated from Nutana Collegiate. Sharon leaves behind a legacy of involvement in the community and contributed as a leader in the Saskatoon 4H Beef Club. Later, Sharon was a volunteer library assistant at St. Luke School in Saskatoon, member and volunteer at Prairieland Park, a member of the Red Hat Society, and a lifetime member of the Saskatoon Quilt Guild. “Gramma” Sharon will be remembered by her greatest joys, which came from cooking, gardening, and caring for her family and pets. She truly loved attending grandchildren’s sporting events, school activities, and enjoyed socializing with friends and family. Her annual vacation to Waskesiu Lake with Kenneth (“Papa Ken”) was a very cherished time and gave them both tremendous joy. The lessons passed down to her family members are rooted in the rural-Saskatchewan spirit and she will be forever remembered.  In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made in Sharon’s name to the Sask Transplant Program c/o St Paul's Hospital or the Saskatoon SPCA. A Private Internment has been planned for Sharon where we will gather as a family to share memories and celebrate her life. Arrangements in care of Ashley Knash - Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
