Raymond Clayton Gibson

Raymond Clayton Gibson, 52, of Ada, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, February 9th, 2021 in Ada. <br /><br />Mr. Gibson was born on November 25th, 1968 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Ernestine and Chester Gibson. He grew up in the Ada area, graduating from Ada High in 1989. <br /><br />Mr. Gibson was a member of the River of Life Church, and enjoyed the time he spent there, usually in fellowship with his church family. As a young man, Mr. Gibson worked with the Chickasaw Nation Youth Program in Food Distribution. He then worked at the Ada Stock Yards, and eventually started and operated his own lawn care service. In his free time, however, Mr. Gibson enjoyed fishing, playing ball, telling jokes, and spending time with his family and friends.<br /><br />Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Ernestine Gibson, grandparents, Ernest and Marion Johnson, and Raymond and Irene Gibson, two nephews, Ernest Gibson and Skyler Gibson, two nieces, Chelsey Gibson and Chasidy Gibson, and one brother-in-law, Robert Balthrop. <br /><br />He is survived by one sister, Cornelia Balthrop and brother-in-law Shawn Parker of Ada, two brothers, Chester Gibson of Ada and Terry Gibson of South Dakota, 5 nieces, 9 nephews, 9 great-nieces, 5 great-nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and one special friend, LaKrista Bates.<br /><br />Funeral services for Mr. Gibson will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 16, 2021 in the Estes-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Troy Bird officiating. Interment will follow at Byars Cemetery in Byars, Oklahoma. <br /><br />Pallbearers will be Chris Hames, Shawn Parker, Kerry Johnson, James Gibson, Josiah Bates, Nathan Garcia, and Damian Balthrop. <br /><br />Honorary Pallbearers will be Austin Gibson, Dustin Gibson, Martha Cordell, Steven Hames, Atticus Balthrop, and Lester Gibson. <br />

Raymond Clayton Gibson, 52, of Ada, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, February 9th, 2021 in Ada.
