<p><strong>Steven Gregg Lanter, age 71 of Winfield, TN, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Born June 6, 1949, he was the son of the late Sherwood Lanter, and Maude Frye and step-father Junior Frye.</strong></p> <p><strong>In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter: Patricia Lanter; sister: Sharon Potter; niece: Terry Stephens; and nephew: Phillip Stephens.</strong></p> <p><strong>Steve is survived by his wife: Dessel Rose Lanter; daughters: Stephanie Lanter and Rebecca Lanter; son: Shawn Lanter; grandson: Gavin Lanter; granddaughters: Destiny Lackey, Katelynn Lackey, Kaylee Lalonde, Patricia Miller; great granddaughter: Stormy Lackey; half-brother: Bill Lanter; as well as other family member and friends.</strong></p> <p><strong>Friends may visit with the Lanter family on Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at the New Light Baptist Church in Winfield, TN with Bro. Jeff Ledford and Bro. Larry Fults officiating. Music will be provided by the New Light Church Choir.</strong></p> <p><strong>Committal service will follow in the New Light Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Leamon Perkins, Billy Perkins, Bruce Perkins, Levi Martin, Christopher Rose and Michael Rose.</strong></p> <p><strong>With the Health Guidelines in place at this time, we ask that you be mindful of the social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control.
