Daniel “Danny“ Anastacio Salas, age 64, passed away on the evening of February 1, 2021, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fresno CA.

Danny was born to Robert Salas and Olivia Gonzales Salas at the former Hawkins Maternity Home on January 5, 1957 in Madera Ca. He was a lifelong resident of Madera and still remained a big part of the community at the time of his passing. Danny attended several Madera Schools throughout his child and teen years and although he did not graduate with his High School class at the time, he continued his education later in life where he went on to graduate with his youngest daughter in 2001.

Danny held several types of jobs in Madera throughout his life, finally landing employment with the Madera Unified School District Maintenance Department where he remained a loyal employee for the past 30 years. Danny took on many roles in the community such as, Soccer coach and Folklorico dancer in his earlier years to name a few. He fell in love with the art of Karate and eventually became an instructor; he often taught the neighborhood kids where he lived for free. Danny was a giving man, never asking for anything in return, the smiles and joy of others is what he enjoyed the most. Danny was a fun, loving father and grandfather, he enjoyed spending his pastime with his children, grandchildren, riding his motorcycle and fishing the most. Danny was also a staple amongst the community; he could often be seen throughout town spreading life, love, joy and humor to all whom encountered him. He will be greatly missed by the many lives he has touched.

Danny was preceded in death by his Father, Robert Salas in 2012 and his Mother, Olivia Gonzales Adame in 2014.

He is survived by his four children, Roxanne Vasquez and her husband Paul, Daniel Salas Jr. and his wife Monica, Adrian Salas and Natasha Salas-Llamas and her husband Paul. His grandchildren Destiny Garcia, Isaiah Salas, Alijah Salas, Sebastian Lopez Salas, Logan Lopez Salas, Milla Salas, Haley Salas, Mateo Salas, Andreas Salas, Sophia Salas, Rhyan Salas, Ricky Salas, Cameron Salas, Ayden Llamas, Ayrianna Llamas and one great-grandchild Aubry Garcia. He is also survived by his siblings Sylvia Salas, Robert Salas Jr., Deborah Goshern, Diane Neal and her husband Mike, David Salas and his wife Noreen and Olivia Macias and her husband Juan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 18, 2021 at 12:00 pm. in the afternoon at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera, CA.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, immediate family will only be allowed at the graveside service. Non-family & friends who would like to pay their respect are asked to do so from afar. Please social distance and wear a mask at all times.
