Evangelos P. Espanopoulos

Fell asleep in the Lord on Monday, February 1, 2021, after a brief illness.  He is survived by his beloved wife Sophia (Recachinas) Espanopoulos.  He leaves to mourn his brothers-in-law, Dion A. (Laura), Andrew A. (Sophie), Rev. Demetrios A. (Presvytera Eleftheria), Recachinas, and his sister-in-law, Christina Plotas.

He is also survived by his nephews Panagiotis (Alison) Plotas, Anastasios A., Anastasios D., Emmanuel D. Recachinas, and his nieces Erene Cook (Ben) and Katerina Pergola (Dan). His eight great-nieces and great-nephews will also cherish his memory.

Services will be held at the Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, commencing at 9 A.M. with the viewing and the funeral service at 10:00 A.M. Burial will take place at the Gate of Heaven in Silver Spring, MD.  Donations in his memory may be made to the Saint Sophia Cathedral, 2815 36th St., N.W., Washington, D.C. 20007.
