Sophia Alice Mordan

Sophia “Alice” Mordan, 86, of Milton and formerly of Danville, passed away Saturday February 6, 2021 at Milton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 30, 1934 in West Hemlock Township, a daughter of the late Allen and Martha (Kressler) Deihl. She graduated from Danville High School, and worked at Castercraft Inc., Turbotville as a spot welder and worked at several hotels and nursing homes as a housekeeper. Sophia was a member of Strawberry Ridge Church, Pastor’s Aide Society at the church, and Washingtonville Fire Co. Axillary. She enjoyed watching tv, playing the piano, and sitting outside. Alice is survived by five children; David Mordan of Shamokin, Grace Hall of Bloomsburg, Gary Mordan wife Donna of Turbotville, Larry Mordan of Danville, and Kathy Sherwood of Washingtonville, 16 grandchildren; Jennifer, Katherine, Jasmine, Skyler, Rebecca, Teresa, Jonathan, Melinda, Ashley, Amber, and Curtis, and 16 great-grandchildren. As well as sister Dorothy Minnick husband Harold, and brother Brock Deihl wife Laura Marie, both of Danville. Alice was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Earle Mordan who passed August 1985. Graveside services will be Wednesday February 10, 2021 at 10:00 am at Jerseytown Cemetery with her pastor, Pastor Shawn McNett officiating.
