Jack E. Lantrip

Jack E. Lantrip, 83, of Reading, passed away on February 1, 2021, at Reading Hospital. He was the husband of the late Marie A. (MacNamara) Lantrip who died on January 1, 2012. Born in Phoenix, AZ, he was the son of the late Howard and Gleena (Gandy) Lantrip. Jack served in the United States Army. He was a municipal manager in Glendale Heights, IL, and later, in Marple Township, PA. Jack played college basketball and enjoyed golfing and fishing. He loved dogs and showed his own English setters for many years. Jack served on the Nativity Lutheran Church Board, where he was an active and faithful member. Jack is survived by his son, Kenneth, husband of Paula, Lantrip, Phoenixville, PA, and by one daughter-in-law, Sandra Lantrip, IL. He is also survived by two stepsons, Robert Acton and Eric Acton, and one sister, Judy, wife of Carl, Catalanotto, IL. There are seven grandchildren: Jessica Rogers, Jack Lantrip, Dakota Lantrip, Dylan Lantrip, Tylar Santillo, Evan Lantrip and Courtney Acton. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Emily, Logan, and Leiv Rogers and Nadia and Cash Santillo. He was predeceased by one son, Mark E. Lantrip, and one brother, Don Lantrip. Services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Friends may call from 10:30-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
