Joel Jarrard Bristol, age 62, passed away on February 1, 2021 in Guilderland, NY after a long illness.  He was born on February 9, 1958 in Cohoes, NY and grew up in Clifton Park. He attended Shenendehowa High School and Hudson Valley Community College.  He was an accomplished guitarist and singer, writing and performing folk music all of his life, as well as a horticulturist who found great fulfillment hiking and foraging in the Adirondacks. Joel is survived by his children Carly Medwin (Frank Ciaccio) and Nathan Bristol (Britany Nauman), mother, Elaine (Robert Foote) Bristol, granddaughter, Isla Ciaccio, sister, Leslie Bristol (Simeon Goldman), niece, Elisabeth Goldman, best friend, Tom Hackman, an aunt, uncle, and several cousins.  Joel was predeceased by his father, Harold Bristol. Due to COVID-19, there will be no funeral at this time, and a small service will be held at a later date.
