YORK- Hazel Kathleen (Bentz) Druck, 97, passed away Monday evening, February 1, 2021, at her York Township home after a brief illness. Born September 4, 1923, in North York Borough, Hazel was the youngest of Harry Alvin and Martha “Mattie” Ellen (Dentler) Bentz’s four children. She and Ben also enjoyed hunting and international travel. She was an expert at cross-stitching and presented her lovingly crafted work to family and friends on many occasions throughout the years. Hazel was also regarded as an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading, doing crossword puzzles and word searches, watching the birds and animals on her property, and mowing her lawn on a John Deere riding mower. A long-time member of Salem Lutheran Church, Jacobus, Hazel was active in Lutheran Church Women for many years, as well as with the Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Her cross-stitch contributions have become part of the church’s history. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her large family.
