Patricia "Patsy" Schlickeisen

<p>Patricia (Patsy) Winkler Schlickeisen, 78, of Bastrop, Texas, died Monday, February 1, 2021, at her home after a brief illness. She was born on November 14, 1942 in Taylor, Texas the youngest daughter of Frank J. Winkler Sr. and Elizabeth (Bertha) Mary Kubacak. She married Willie Louis Schlickeisen, Jr. on May 24, 1969 and had spent 51 years as his devoted and loving wife.</p> <p>She loved working with children and had been a childcare provider at The Hideout Early Learning Center in Bastrop, where her children Erica and Ryan had also attended. She was a long-time member of Ascension Catholic Church in Bastrop, Texas and was a member of the Ladies of Charity and had volunteered for many years assisting with their services as well as with Meals on Wheels of Bastrop.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Bertha, sisters Marie Taylor, Liz Eulenfeld, Agnes Turner, Angeline Gola, and Martha Jaecks, her brothers Ludwig Winker and Frank Winkler, Jr, and infant son Adam Paul.</p> <p>She is survived by her husband Willie, her daughter Erica Schlickeisen (Todd) Tietjen, her son Ryan (Samantha) Schlickeisen, her beloved grandsons Hance and Errol Tietjen, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was selflessly committed to promoting the well-being of others and her kindness touched many even through her illness. She will be loved and missed by her family and friends.</p>
