Carrie Lee Beasley Woodard was born July 30, 1943 in Hogansville, GA to the late, Rean Claude Beasley and Gussie Bell Beasley. She received her education in the Charlton County school system. Carrie Lee was also known as a track star in her Charlton County High School days. On Tuesday February 2nd 2021, she lost her battle to her illness. Carrie Lee had a quiet and sweet demeanor. She was a homemaker and made it a habit of taking care of others. Carrie Lee loved to cook large meals for her family, daily telephone conversations with her children and grandchildren, and she loved The Lifetime Movie Network. On March 2, 1965, Carrie Lee married her late husband, Robert Mitchell Woodard, Sr., in Folkston, GA. In addition to her parents and husband, Carrie Lee was preceded in rest by her son, Kenneth Romell Woodard, her sisters, Eva Sue Roche and Dorothy Mae Beasley, and her niece, Patricia Ann Battle. To always remember her as a loving Mother, Granny, and friend, are sons, Robert (Lisa) Mitchell Woodard Jr., Jasper Woodard, Sr., Anthony (Donna) Woodard, Sr.; daughters, Rose Hutchinson and Tina Woodard; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends who have become family and always checked on and came to see Carrie Lee, Rodney and Randy Gosnell, Steve Dover, and Lloyd (Smitty) Smith. GRAVESIDE SERVICES ONLY! MASKS REQUIRED!! SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIRED!! There will not be a visitation/wake. Viewing will be held 1 hour prior to services at the cemetery. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 @ 1:00 pm, at Oak Hill Baptist Church, White Oak, Ga.
